Christmas Cheer

We were in full support of Christmas today, all wearing holiday sweaters... they looked so cute!! (except for Dave...he wasn't down)

And everything below are some pictures of me and Collin's Christmas Spirit :) Since... I don't have any family parties to attend.. we made some of our own. I think I thought they would be more fun than Collin, though. He usually ditched out, leaving me alone to finish (and of course, clean up)! But we had lots of fun!

Now, this was me and Collins FIRST time actually making sugar cookies from scratch.

Umm, this red frosting stayed on Collins hand for about 2 days... You know that thick food coloring, well, Collin scooped out a whole spoon full to make the red frosting. Lets just say it had a little too much... You couldn't eat any cookie with the red frosting, I tried it, and suffered severe gagging from the bitter taste. So we stuck with green on the remaining ones.

And those green hands are from a beautiful Christmas finger paint accomplished by Collin! (I think he really just likes to make the mess)

Law School Grad!

Congratulations Dave!

I can't believe Dave graduated actually.... for so long we have been in this "when we graduate" stage of life. Which is actually him graduating, but me also graduating from living in the school stages of life. Anyways.... I was thinking, so much has changed since we came to Law School. When we moved here we had NO kids, now we are leaving with 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are a full blown family. When we came here, I hated it, and now I actually like it. When we came here, we thought Dave would be a lawyer, now we are leaving thinking he won't. :) When we moved here, I thought Utah was the only good spot to live, and now I want to live other places, cause I realized there are cool different things about lots of places. When we came here, we hadn't ever been required to serve that much in church, and now we are leaving knowing what its like to serve all the time! When we came here, we had money, and now we are leaving without money.... :) When we came here, I didn't want to make new friends cause I missed my old friends and family so much, and now I want to make friends everywhere cause I realized its so neat to have friends all over and all different types with all different interests. I have learned so much from friends here. When we moved here I felt so young, now I am leaving feeling so old. I feel like I could go on and on about how different my (and probably Daves) life is sense we moved here to now. But I guess I won't... its just crazy what can happen in 2 1/2 years! Now we are moving back to Utah this January. I am so excited to live close to my family again!!!! I will miss lots of friends out here, but am so glad that I was able to have them as part of my life.

Family Pics

Yeah.... our family was able to get "Family Pictures" I am so happy! This is the first time I have officially taken charge and arranged a family picture. I feel so proud. :) Not that I am the one who took the pictures, but I feel like I am a mother on the ball, like all the rest of you out there. I arranged, organized, etc. maybe I will actually get out a Christmas card this year for the first time!! Especially sense Casen didn't even get birth announcements. So here is the link to see them. Jingle Bells Jingle Bells, Jingle All the Way!

Yeah, we finished the 5K! These are my favorite friends Megan and then Caroline (if you don't already know :) ) but they told me about the 5k Jingle Bell run for Arthritis in Birmingham, and so I decided to do it with them. It was lots of fun! I pried Dave into driving up with me. But Collin actually had tons of fun.

And last, but not least.... this is my Christmas Present... beautiful new... BOB DOUBLE JOGGING STROLLER! Its a beauty. I LOVE IT! :)))) There is baby Casen sleeping away. And yes its December and has been in the upper 60s every day.

Christmas Cookies

Look at these cookies! They are a piece of art. collin made a special plate for his friend Tyson. And mom basically ate the rest... only gained a few pounds... don't worry. I have a major weakness for chocolate cookies.

Thanksgiving

Okay, so for Thanksgiving my mom and Jena came out to see us and it was sooo fun. Then while they were here we made a trip to Nashville, Tennessee! We went to the Grand Ole Opry Hotel, we saw the "Rocketts" Christmas show, we saw "Ice Sculptures... How the Grinch stole Christmas" went to Wild Horse Saloon, ate our nice Thanksgiving dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. It was lots crammed in 2 days, especially if you include chasing around Collin and feeding and changing Casen all day long :)

If we look cold.... its cause WE WERE! It was only 9 degrees inside there!
